The Therapist

Sue Jameson B.C.M.T.

Welcome to my website. Thanks for perusing!

I received my B.A. degree in Physical Education in 1980 from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. I took my original massage training from Minneapolis School of Massage, Inc. and have been providing massage therapy services since 1986. The basis of massage they taught was Esalen Therapeutic Massage out of the Esalen Institute based in Big Sur, CA. I am Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork becoming nationally certified in 1994. I offer Esalen massage, deep tissue massage, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, muscle release technique, healing touch, and quantum touch. Early in massage career I taught Infant Massage thru Early Childhood Education. I have also done many speaking engagements and workshops related to massage self-care, relaxation, and various forms of stretching.I contracted and provided massage therapy services to hospice patients thru Faribault Area Hospice for five and a half years until Faribault Area Hospice was disbanded in December of 2015. I now contract and offer my services to cancer patients four hours a month thru the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute- District One Hospital in Faribault, MN.

I believe in the body/mind/spirit philosophy. My massage incorporates slow, intentional stretching along with reducing tight musculature. As one of my clients commented: "Your massage is like yoga without the effort." I believe in working together with my client to achieve the greatest benefits possible through this integrated approach. I am committed to offering the highest quality massage therapy services within my legal and ethical boundaries. I also strive to enhance my skills through continuing education in my field.

While Massage Therapy has been my full time occupation and passion for the past 30 years, I also enjoy the magnificent great outdoors through hiking, biking, and nature/landscape photography. And when I am not out breathing in the beauty you might find me happily reading, writing, or enjoying yoga.
